Parkinson’s UK is pleased to announce an event that is happening in Cambridgeshire for carers of people with Parkinson’s.
We are hosting a day for carers to get information and support about caring for a loved one with Parkinson’s, and an opportunity to meet others in a similar position.
The event is being held on Friday 29th November from 10.30am- 2.45pm at the Braza Club, Elm Road, March, PE15 8NZ.
Whats happening on the day:
● Local Parkinson’s Nurse will give a talk and be available for one to one conversations
● Local Carers organisation will give a talk and share information about support available
● Parkinsons UK will be attending with information about what activities they have on offer in your area
● Local Parkinson’s Advisors from Parkinson’s UK will be available for one to one conversations and information about the support available
● There will be an opportunity to take part in creative therapy demonstrations.
● Have a mini beauty treatment: hand massage, manicure or reflexology
● Plus lots of external organisations will be there with their information stands too.
In addition there is a free lunch and refreshments.
There is lots of parking and the venue is fully accessible.
The event is open to anyone who cares for someone with Parkinson’s (you don’t have to live locally to March). You’re also welcome to bring the person you care for, and there will be talks and activities specifically for them to join in with too.
