- We need 2 clear working days to process your request. We will send it electronically to your nominated pharmacy. Some medications can’t be sent this way, and we will let you know if that’s the case.
- To find out when your pharmacy will have your prescription ready, please contact them directly. Most pharmacies will text you if you ask them to.
Nominating a Pharmacy
- You can do this through SystmOnline, NHS App, or by speaking to Reception/Prescription Clerks.
Helpful Tips
- If you need your medication early for holidays, write that on your request.
- For newly prescribed medication, your first prescription will be a paper one. Depending on your pharmacy, you may need to collect it from Reception. We will inform you if that’s needed.
- If you get a prescription from Out of Hours/NHS 111, please let us know your nominated pharmacy when you request your next prescription. OOH/NHS 111 may have changed it to an open pharmacy, but don’t change it back.
- If you pay for your prescriptions and have two items or more, consider a prepayment certificate – Get a prescription prepayment certificate: Get a prescription prepayment certificate – GOV.UK
- If you use an online pharmacy, you still need to order directly from us. Please note that we aren’t responsible for delays caused by the post.
