Advanced Nurse Practitioners are highly qualified and experienced nurses who have undertaken further education to be able to assess, diagnose, treat (including Prescribing) as appropriate and refer to both primary and secondary care colleagues. They work independently alongside the GP's at the Practice.

Clinical pharmacists are increasingly working as part of general practice teams. They are highly qualified experts in medicines and can help people in a range of ways. This includes carrying out structured medication reviews for patients with ongoing health problems and improving patient safety, outcomes and value through a person-centred approach.

Practice nurses
Practice nurses provide assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice to patients. The practice nurses assist the doctors in the management chronic illness e.g. diabetes, asthma and cardiovascular disease. They are responsible for the running of the practice clinics including blood pressure, cervical smear, diabetes, asthma, travel immunisation etc. They also review patients on contraception and hormone replacement. Our Care Navigators receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
